Download audio from a video URL

Choose Audio and a supported format such as MP3, M4A or OPUS. Auto preserves the source codecs in MKA. Embedded cover art is unavailable in direct streaming.

How to download

  1. Paste the video, channel or playlist URL into the download form.
  2. Choose the download type, format and quality, then press Download.
  3. Follow progress in Downloading. Open the file or subtitle link in Completed after verification finishes.

Storage and privacy

New media streams through the server to the shared Google Drive folder without writing media files to VPS disk. Queue history and credentials are stored separately. Removing a history entry does not delete the Drive file. Do not submit private media on a shared instance.

Limits and supported sources

Source support depends on yt-dlp and access from this server. Login, anti-bot and region restrictions may prevent a download. Support for an extractor does not guarantee every URL works.

Two concurrent downloads; maximum 2 GiB per output. Local speech recognition is limited to known durations up to 30 minutes. Thumbnail downloads, chapter splitting and SponsorBlock cutting are unavailable.

Subtitles and speech recognition

Source captions are preferred. If none are available for a new video, local speech recognition may create a separate ASR subtitle file. Recognition may be inaccurate. There is no OCR or automatic translation.
